Leroy Neiman was famous for his paintings depicting boxers and boxing scenes. This one is titled "Blue Boxing" and is unusual for two reasons. It is only one of a few pastels that he drew and there is another boxing scene also in pastel on the verso. This beautiful pastel was originally in Leroy Neiman's estate and was sold by Franklin Bowles Galleries.
