Leroy Neiman - The Bull Fight - Original Oil on Board - 1966 This is one of Leroy Neiman's most famous and spectacular oil paintings. It is larger than six feet by four feet and features a wounded bull and a bull fighter. The pedigree includes Hugh Hefner and was displayed at the Playboy Mansion. World famous actor and artist, Tony Curtis, was the next proud owner until his recent death. This was purchased from his wife, who is the executor of his estate. Included with this masterpiece is a letter of authenticity and provenance from her. I have handled many original Leroy Neiman oils over the last 30 years and this painting eclipses anything I have ever handled. This oil on board titled "The Bull Fight" was painted in 1966 and is in excellent condition. This painting belongs in a world class museum or one of the finest collections of Leroy Neiman's masterpieces.

"Though Neiman has long served as the most recognizable American artist of the post-war era, his recent passing has added rocket fuel to the fire of his market, with four of his works soaring into six-figure territory in recent Heritage auctions. We expect the climb in pricing to continue, and for smart investors to be paying close attention when this classic work hits the block."
