Robert Wyland is famous for his paintings and bronze sculptures of underwater sea life. In 1993 he founded the Wyland Foundation to promote and protect ocean resources through life-sized public art, educational programs and support for environmental groups. He is most famous for his paintings of whales on the walls of buildings around the world and for his oil paintings of whales on canvas.
